Scammers are using increasingly sophisticated tactics to impersonate financial institutions, including "spoofing" phone numbers which make it appear as though the call is coming from your bank. Fraudsters may claim there is suspicious activity on your account and ask you to dial 72 or 21 followed by a phone number. Doing so may activate call forwarding on your mobile phone, allowing scammers to intercept security verification calls and one-time passcodes intended for you.
If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and contact Greater State Bank. Your security is our priority. Stay alert, protect your personal information, and remember—when in doubt, contact us directly at 800-217-8928.
